Version 0.6.0: Quality of life updates
Bugfixing and quality of life -update. The newest version of Laser Assault fixes some annoying bugs, like how a non-native resolution botched the menu system completely. This was an engine bug and has been fixed as I ported the game to a new version. The game now also features a simple options screen for volume controls. The difficulty slider doesn’t yet do anything, but I’m considering having the amount of allies in reserve be dependent on it.
For the next version I’ll be fixing how allied lasers are fired, the laser is currently fired from behind them and looks weird. I’ll also be adding some variation to when enemies start firing, that should give the player more room to maneuver from enemy bullets. Enemy firing rates will stay constant so that they stay predictable.
After bugfixing and prettying the game up more I’d like to add a new enemy type: A carrier that launches fighters.
